Project Definition
The first stage is gathering the information necessary to identify the scope and overall direction of the project. Project Definition allows us to design, clarify and plan the web design project identifying the target audience, competition, overall design strategy and technical requirements such as page layout, navigation, backend databases.
Design
Secondly, we will take your requirements and produce a set of designs which we will present to you. Once the design has been chosen, you have the opportunity to critique the layout and make any amendments and adjustments you wish. This is an important stage as it allows us to align both our site ideas and ensure we are thinking on the same level.
Develop Structure
Before we move on to any development work, we build with you a clear structure of your site, defining the path a general visitor to your site will take when trying to find the information that interests them. This stage allows us to see an overview of the site, giving us the ability to identify any potential problems and correct them before we enter the development stage.
Build and Integrate
Once the requirements have been detailed, the design chosen and the structure set, we begin the development work and take the project ideas and make them a reality. When development is complete, a quality assurance (QA) plan is created and implemented to ensure your website is ready for launch and is of the highest quality.
Launch
The final stage of the development and deployment process is launching your website on the Internet. We will upload and test your website as well as informing the major search engines and directories that it is now live and on the web.
Maintenance
A website is a living breathing entity, and needs sustenance to survive. In website terms, this is through fresh content and updates to ensure the website never becomes stale. We will help you maintain your website and keep it fresh and up to date. We include an optional annual maintenance contract cost in all our quotes, but if you do not want to take up this option, we offer support charged at our hourly rate.
